Dogs show off and we scratch our collective heads
I don’t think I’ve ever been this excited about anything. Is she excited about summer? Did she find something stinky to roll in? Don’t you want to know what is inside her head?
I think I talk to my dog like my grandmother did to me when I was five. Lots of “okay I’ll be right here” and “Oh, are you going to go out on an adventure?” I hope my dog feels the same amount of love & watchfulness that I did.

We adopted a 7 year old rescue, who was really overweight. He got in shape quickly with us, and lived a great life for another 7 years! He was fun and happy and sweet, and oh so patient when we introduced a baby into our human side of the family when he was 12 years old. RIP, Syd…love you always ♥
